At Council of Ministers Resolution 87/2022, of 4 October, Component C11 was created to support the decarbonisation of industry through the adoption of efficiency measures and the acceleration of the energy transition. reduced energy consumption and the implementation of systems that enable managing and improving energy consumptionThis is an important area for industrialisation, based on computing and automation.

 

Component 11 - Decarbonisation of Industry, part of the Climate Transition Dimension, aims to leverage the decarbonisation of the industrial and business sector and promote a paradigm shift in the use of resources, implementing measures in the National Energy and Climate Plan 2030 (PNEC 2030) and helping to accelerate the transition to a carbon-neutral economy by supporting at least 300 decarbonisation projects.

 

 

 

 

Objectives

 

Carbon neutrality, promoting the energy transition through energy efficiency, support for renewable energies, with a focus on the adoption of low carbon processes and technologies in industry, the adoption of energy efficiency measures in industry and the incorporation of energy from renewable sources and energy storage.

Companies of any size or legal form in the industrial sector.

You can apply until 6pm on the day 31st January 2023.

 

Financing

 

Support for the decarbonisation of industry of up to 200,000 euros per single company over a period of 3 years.

 

The support comes under the RGIC "Regulamento Geral de Exemption por Categoria".

 

Intervention Areas

 

The investment associated with this Component contributes 100% to the PRR's climate target, so projects must fall under at least one of the following areas of intervention:

 

• "024ter - Energy efficiency and demonstration projects in SMEs or large companies and support measures that fulfil the energy efficiency criteria";
• "022 - Research and innovation processes, technology transfer and co-operation between companies, focusing on the low-carbon economy, resilience and adaptation to climate change";
• "029 - Renewable energy: solar";
• "032 - Other renewable energies (including geothermal energy)";
• "033 - Intelligent energy systems (including smart grids and ICT systems) and their storage".

- Adoption of energy efficiency measures in industry;
- Incorporation of renewable energy sources and energy storage.
