The long-awaited "prize for innovation", the 4th edition of the IN3+ Award, has finally been announced. This remarkable initiative, run by the Imprensa Nacional-Casa da Moeda SA (INCM), has already shown in previous editions that Portugal is a powerhouse when it comes to innovative and revolutionary ideas.
Initiative on the Rise
With three previous editions full of success and innovation, the IN3+ Award has demonstrated how innovation in Portugal is growing rapidly. The quest is clear: to discover and recognise brilliant ideas that will bring about significant changes in different sectors of the economy.
Weight supports
In addition to its already prestigious name, the innovation award is sponsored by the President of the Republic. The addition of the National Innovation Agency as an institutional partner only increases the seriousness and commitment of the award to true national innovation.
Expertise: Nanotechnology to Robotics
Portugal has a wide range of talents, and this prize is the stage for them. Areas of focus include, but are not limited to, nanotechnology, robotics, and advanced information systems. INCM's Director, Duarte Azinheira, not only recognises, but emphasises the importance of creating and supporting technologies that will facilitate and improve citizens' daily lives.
A Range of Prizes
Under the slogan "More Innovation, More Knowledge, More Future", the prize promises up to 1 million euros in rewards. Those who lead the innovation race could pocket up to 600,000 euros. One of the great novelties is that 2% of the total prize money will go directly to the researchers, a clear demonstration of recognition for their hard work.
